Asian Elephant Exhibit - Sydney, Australia
The Asian elephant exhibit forms the centre piece of the "Asian
Elephant Precinct" at Taronga Zoo. Construction of the moats and ponds for this exhibit
commenced in May 2003. Features of the design include water recycling, ozone disinfection,

breeding program, provision was made in the design to allow the moat to operate at
reduced water levels to accommodate the young calf's.
